Mia turns 10

10 years ago (on August 20th), the best, most beautiful birthday present was born to me. I have such fond memories of toting around a shy little bundle, always wrapped in her white "cozy" blanket. She danced and sang her way into early childhood...never really stopped, I guess. Everyday she graces our lives with her goodness. Ryan and I just can't believe she has hit double digits!

Mia celebrated her birthday by having Imogen and Sophie over for the afternoon to swim, eat pizza and watch movies. Mia was excited to receive Ry's secret purchase from the Grand Bazaare...a pretty silver and turqoise bracelet...in addition to a hand-me-down doll originally purchased by Grandpa Buck and given to Angi for her 8th birthday. The day after her birthday we took Mia to the Istanbul Dophinarium (per Mia's request) where we saw the dophin/beluga/walrus show. That night, to top off her birthday weekend, Mia helped Thys make Mac n' Cheese for dinner. She managed to spill boiling water down the front of her...now has a blistered blotch in the shape of Africa spread across her tummy to show for it. What a crummy way to end her weekend...suppose she won't forget this milestone of a birthday!

We sure love you, little Mia. Happy, happy birthday!
