Holidays can be tricky here; the Turkish people don't celebrate a lot of the holidays we do and sometimes I feel grumpy that we aren't back home having Easter Egg Hunts with friends, Trick or Treating in our neighborhood, or gathering around Grandma's table for a Thanksgiving Feast with the fam. So we've just had to get creative. This year we invited the little ones from our primary over for a Halloween Party. We had a lot of fun decorating the house and coming up with games. Between Kendra, Angie, Susan & I we had a cookie decorating station, a donut eating contest, a fishing pond, a pin-the-face-on-the-pumpkin game, some trick or treating, a balloon pop & an improvised cake "treat" walk. The kids really got into it...had a great time!
