The kids actually assumed that this year we'd forego Easter due to our vacation, so they were pleasantly suprised to find that tradition had not been forsaken (now if only the Tooth Fairy would remember to come, as the Easter Bunny does). This year the hiding took place in the "yard" of our rental house (more like a terrace). Ry hid their baskets in the outdoor brick oven, a huge clay pot, a water fountain and another forgotten place...? The kids especially enjoyed the egg hunt, as always! Some were hidden in the flowers, some in the barbeque grill, rain gutters, old copper pots, oil lamps...etc. We made a few more good memories, and then faced the reality that it was time to hit the road.
We packed up that morning from our super-fun Ephesus adventure. Five hours, one speeding ticket and a ferry ride later, we were home!
