It's hard to soar with eagles when you're hangin' with the turkeys!

Horse Play

For some strange reason, we decided to move from Washington just as Grandma and Grandpa Reynolds were moving TO Washington. Don't know what we were thinking as we always have wanted to live closer to family. Lucky for us we were able to spend lots of good time with Grandma and Grandpa this summer... and their beautiful Foxtrotters! Introducing Cimarron ("Cim"), who was born last spring (he and Mia became pretty good friends):

While in Ellensburg Mom & Dad introduced us to their friends, Cam & Julie. Their kids, Brianna & Tyler, got along well with Thys & Mia. They spent some good time together riding horses, setting off fireworks, and playing basketball. We spent an afternoon at their ranch letting the littles ride 'Blue', their miniature horse. Julie even hitched her up to a little buggy and he carted us up and down their lane. He was even horse enough to haul Ryan and I around! Reminded me of the song my Dad use to sing to us when we were little, and that we still sing to our kids:

Horsey, horsey, on your way
We've been together for many a day
So let your tail go swish and your wheels go round
Giddyap! We're homeward bound!

I like to take a horse and buggy
And go a travelin' through the town
I like to hear ol' Dobbin clip-clop!
I like to hear the wheels go round!

Ryan and I dream of going country, of putting our roots down in the Western states somewhere. We drool at the notion of growing a big garden, keeping chickens, having a couple of horses and maybe even a dog or two. And let's not forget Jakes dream of raising 'Spot', the bunny (the one Jake has yet to meet and pick out, but knows that he will someday).

Dreams do come true, right?
