Songbird

A month or so ago our little songbird (Mia) flew north to Warsaw with her choir and choir director. There they joined the ranks of 100+ other middle-schoolers from other Eastern European countries for a three day choir festival. They practiced (and practiced...and practiced...) for those three days in preparation for a culminating Saturday concert (that we weren't able to attend but watched the live broadcast of). The CEESA choir learned 12 songs together and delivered an amazing performance! Mia was the youngest of the group, being a late August birthday girl and not even 12 yet. However, she was among a minority who tried out for a solo...which she landed and delivered beautifully ("Flanders Field")... along with another girl close to her age, named Cameron. Their song was so lovely!

I love this picture of Mia...you can tell her heart & soul are in the song

Mia flew home on Cloud 9...we were so glad for her to have such an adventure!
