Delphi

We drove two hours from Athens to Delphi after several days. While there, we consulted the oracle, worshipped at the Temple of Apollo, and participated in the Pythian Games...well...all in our imaginations. Delphi was beautiful, tucked up in the mountains and away from the world. We could see why the Greeks thought it was the center, or "navel" of the world.

If you hike to the top of the mountain you'll find this amazing open stadium, where the Pythian Games were held.  We were tempted to breech the wall and host some games of our own.
